CC -!- FUNCTION: This recombinant protein induces severe neurotoxicity on
CC zebrafish larvae (Danio rerio) at a concentration of 230 mg/ml, but
CC does not show toxicity when injected in blowfly larvae (Sarcophaga
CC falculata). All fish incubated with this protein died within 16 hours
CC of exposure (PubMed:25757852). Has also been claimed to be implied in
CC calcification, but this function seems improbable (PubMed:19283069,
CC PubMed:25757852). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:25757852,
CC ECO:0000305|PubMed:19283069}.
CC -!- SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Secreted. Nematocyst {ECO:0000305}.
CC -!- PTM: Contains 4 disulfide bonds. {ECO:0000305}.
CC -!- MISCELLANEOUS: The sequence shown here is derived from an
CC EMBL/GenBank/DDBJ third party annotation (TPA) entry.
CC -!- SIMILARITY: Belongs to the Cnidaria small cysteine-rich protein (SCRiP)
CC family. {ECO:0000305|PubMed:25757852}.
