Actiphenol is a bacterial metabolite that has been found inStreptomycesand has antiviral activity.1,2It is active against coxsackievirus B3 and influenza A virus (IC50s = 14.37 and 34.4 &#181g/ml, respectively).1Actiphenol (50 &#181g/disc) potentiates the antifungal activity of miconazole againstC. albicansin a disc assay.2
