Description: Donepezil Hydrochloride (E2020) is a novel, noncompetitive, specific and potent AChE inhibitor for bAChE and hAChE with IC50 of 8.12 nM and 11.6 nM , respectively. Donepezil hydrochloride inhibits acetylcholinesterase (AChE), an enzyme possibly involved in cognitive dysfunction of patients suffering Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Donepezil is a medication used in the palliative treatment of Alzheimer's disease. Donepezil is used to improve cognition and behavior of people with Alzheimer's, but does not slow the progression of or cure the disease.
