背景信息：
类固醇生成急性调节蛋白 (StAR) 在胆固醇从细胞浆外膜到线粒体内膜的转运中起重要作用 (1)。37 kDa 前体蛋白可被裂解成一个 28 kDa 的活性蛋白，辅助胆固醇代谢形成孕烯醇酮 (2,3)。StAR 主要由可合成类固醇的肾上腺和性腺组织的线粒体表达 (3)。常染色体类脂质肾上腺增生 (LCAH) 中 StAR 基因表达有异常影响，导致孕烯醇酮和皮质醇合成出现缺陷 (4)。胆固醇结合到 StAR 的机制尚不明确 (4)。
