背景信息:
丝氨酸羟甲基转移酶 1 和 1,2 (SHMT1、SHMT2) 分别是细胞浆和线粒体丝氨酸羟甲基转移酶 (2)。它们可催化丝氨酸转化成甘氨酸,其中丝氨酸的 β-碳转移到四氢叶酸 (THF),形成 5, 10-亚甲基-THF (1, 2)。研究表明,SHMT1 半合子状态与具有某种遗传背景的小鼠中肠癌风险较高相关 (3)。抑制 SHMT2 经证实会阻止细胞增殖 (4)。
