背景信息：

作为经典的 CXC 趋化因子， IL-8 因对嗜中性粒细胞的作用而有名，尤其是它能作为一种化学诱导物，并能激活细胞脱粒和突发性呼吸(1-3)。

单核细胞、T 细胞、嗜中性粒细胞、成纤维细胞、内皮细胞和其他细胞等许多细胞类型均会产生 IL-8 (1)。除了对嗜中性粒细胞发挥作用外，IL-8 还能促进血管生成，抑制内皮细胞凋亡，并以一种自分泌的方式促进黑色素瘤细胞的增殖 (1)。因此，IL-8 可能是某些癌症发生的一个影响因素 (1,2)。IL-8 有两种不同受体：CXCR1 和 CXCR2；两种都是 G 蛋白偶联受体 (1)。配体结合会诱导 Ca²⁺ 迁移，并激活 PI3K、PKC、Rho 和 Rac 通路 (1,3)。
