DNA 结合蛋白抑制因子 2 (Id2) 是 Id 蛋白成员， Id 蛋白属于螺旋-环-螺旋 (HLH) 蛋白家族。Id 蛋白通过与特异转录因子结合且抑制它们的二聚化以及 DNA 结合发挥作用 (1-3)。Id2 与多种转录因子相互作用，这些转录因子包括 E 蛋白 (5)、TCS (4)、Pax (3) 和抑癌基因 Rb (1)。Id2 已经证明在调控细胞分化、增殖、发育和肿瘤发生方面非常重要 (6-8)。在肿瘤细胞中， Id2 水平升高可使 Rb 失活，导致细胞转化和癌症 (9,10)。因此，Id2 也是癌症治疗的一个有潜力的药物作用靶标 (11)。
