Pirfenidone D5 is a penta-deuterated form and
metabolite of Pirfenidone. Pirfenidone (S7701, AMR-69;
AMR69; S-7701; Pirespa; Pirfenex; Deskar, Esbriet) is a
potent inhibitor for TGF-β production and TGF-β stimulated collagen
production and has been approved for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary
fibrosis.
